WALKING TOUR OF SPLIT

Step into the historical tale of the city of Split. Let our experienced official tour guide take you back in time when the powerful Roman emperor Diocletian lived and built his palace. Explore the most famous and important landmarks within the UNESCO-listed historical complex, with its 1700 years of history. Enjoy the sight of Peristyle, the central square of the Palace with Saint Domnius Cathedral, a symbol of Split and pay a visit to the basements of the Palace. Take a walk along narrow historical streets filled with local shops and feel the local atmosphere.

SALONA

Visit Salona, the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia that used to be surrounded by four kilometers of walls and about 90 towers, which served to protect it from invaders. Around the year 614, the capital was attacked and destroyed by the Avars and Slavs. Still, the ruins left at the disposal of historians and archaeologists suggest that it was a very important city.

The residence of the former Croatian prince is now a museum with an exhibition of well preserved archaeological inscriptions. Other than just offering an insight into Croatian history, the fortress also offers one of the most spectacular views of the city of Split.
