Day 1 ZAGREB - ISTANBUL

Meeting at Franjo Tuđman Airport Zagreb, next to the information desk, no later than two hours before the departure of the aircraft. Distribution of travel documents, check-in and departure to Istanbul. Landing in Istanbul is followed by a panoramic drive to the hotel, check-in at the hotel and a short break. After the break, we head to an orientation walk through the old part of the city. Stroll along the famous Istiklal Caddesi Street, with its many restaurants, shops and bars, to the Galata Tower, which offers the most beautiful views of the Bosphorus.

Free time for dinner and enjoying Turkish specialties. Return to the hotel at the agreed time. Overnight stay.

Day 2 ISTANBUL - TOUR OF HISTORIC SITES IN THE CITY

Breakfast at the hotel. Going on a city tour accompanied by a local tourist guide. We start the tour with the largest palace in Istanbul - the mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent, followed by many interesting facts about the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque, the most magnificent mosque in Istanbul, named after the many blue porcelain decorations on the walls of the mosque, built by Mehmet Aga. Moving on to Hagia Sophia, built in the time of Emperor Justinian, was once the largest church in the Byzantine Empire, and was later converted into a mosque, and today is considered one of the greatest architectural achievements of that time. This is followed by a visit to Topkapi Palace, which means the Cannon Gate Palace, and is the former Sultan's Palace, which was the seat of the Ottoman Empire, built by Sultan Mehmed II. Go to the Grand Bazaar (Kapali Čaršija), the largest and oldest covered market in the world, with over 4,000 shops, where you can feel the charm of buying gold, textiles, souvenirs, etc. Free time for shopping and dinner. Day 3 ISTANBUL - DOLMABAHCE PALACE - BOSPHORUS CRUİSE

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Dolmabahce Palace - one of the most glamorous palaces in the world, a former sultan's residence from the 19th century, built in the Rococo style. Followed by a cruise on the Bosphorus, a sea strait that separates Europe and Asia, during which you can enjoy views of imperial palaces, fortresses, bridges and the romantic towns of the Bosphorus. During the voyage, the guide will introduce you to the cultural differences of the European and Asian part of the city. After the cruise, you’ll get free time for lunch. After lunch we’ll visit the Egyptian Spice Market. Free time for shopping and dinner. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.


Day 4 ISTANBUL - ZAGREB

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Visit to Fener and Balat. Fener is a former Greek quarter and one of the most photographed locations in Istanbul. Balat once represented a Jewish quarter, and today is known for its many narrow streets and colorful houses. Free time for shopping and walking around the city. Transfer to the airport. Check-in for the flight to Zagreb. Arrival in Zagreb in the evening.

Border, visa and health formalities:

Citizens of the Republic of Croatia traveling to Turkey for tourism purposes do not need a visa for a stay up to 90 days. For all other purposes, it is necessary to obtain a Turkish visa (business travel).

A valid passport is required for Croatian citizens to travel to Turkey, which must be valid for at least another 6 months from the date of entry into Turkey.

All persons traveling to Turkey must have valid travel health insurance covering the period of stay in Turkey.

 

Information related to Covid-19

All travelers traveling to Turkey (except passengers in transit through Turkey and children under 6 years of age) are required to complete an online form from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey (available at the following link: https://register.health.gov.tr/) within 72 hours before the flight, print out or save on your cell phone to show or present when checking in for the flight.

From 1.6.2021. to enter Turkey, all passengers must present a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours or a rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test not older than 48 hours (starting from the time of swabbing to the arrival at the border crossing).

If a person has a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 done more than 14 days from the date of crossing the state border (from the day of receiving the second dose or 14 days from receiving a single vaccine), that person will be able to enter the Republic of Turkey without additional testing and will not be subjected to self-isolation.

If a person has recovered from COVID-19 in the past six months and has a medical certificate of illness, that person is also exempt from the obligation to present a negative PCR or rapid antigen test.

Join us on our Istanbul adventure! Discover the largest Turkish city and the fifth most visited city in the world. Located on the Bosphorus Strait, it is the cultural and economic center of Turkey.

Recognize the historical values ​​of Istanbul, explore its past and experience its present.

Take a walk through the old part of the city, and the famous Istiklal Caddesi, which exudes special energy and is one of the main tourist attractions. It is known as the main shopping street, with a number of restaurants and cafes, and leads all the way to Taksim Square at the top.

Breathe in Istanbul and explore all its attractions accompanied by a local city guide. Visit the largest palace in Istanbul - the mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent, which is one of the most recognizable symbols of Istanbul, and was built for Suleiman the Magnificent in the 15th century. Sultan Suleiman and his wife Hurem are buried in it. We continue our tour towards the beautiful Blue Mosque, whose interior is probably the finest achievement of Ottoman architecture.
